PJ Harvey Sets U.S. Shows

Although she once said she'll never play live again, PJ Harvey has announced a select few shows in the United States that will include the cities New York and Los Angeles. She's got an album coming out (of course), so you figure that you have to play at least a few shows, you know? Hype hype hype. And publicity. The album is called White Chalk and comes out on September 25th via Island Records. It was produced by the triumvirate of Polly, Flood & John Parish, and includes contributions from Eric Drew Feldman, and Jim White of the Dirty Three. So jump on a jet or hit the road and live out your own Jack Kerouac fantasy, hitting all of the (2) shows she'll be playing in the states. Pj Harvey Tour Dates 09-24 - Bristol, England - Colston Hall 09-29 - London, England - Royal Festival Hall 10-10 - New York, NY - Beacon Theatre 10-15 - Los Angeles, CA - The Orpheum

Supergrass Bassist Breaks Back While Sleepwalking In France

Bassist Mick Quinn of Supergrass recently went out for a nighttime adventure while vacationing at a villa in the south of France. Turns out Mick was sleepwalking, and ended up walking right out of a first floor window. He ended up with two broken vertebrae in his back and a smashed heel. "We hope the crazy fool gets back on his feet as soon as possible. I'm sure he'll make a full recovery; he's a tough cookie," said Gaz Coombes in a statement released by the band. As it turns out, Supergrass will have to cancel their Oxford Carling Academy show on September 23. Mick is expected to make a full recovery but will take several months to heal.
